Prof. Dr. Beverley Kramer

Prof. Beverley Kramer (BSc, BSc Hons, Ph.D.) is Professor of Anatomy in the School of Anatomical Sciences, and Assistant Dean: Research and Postgraduate Support in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand. Prof Kramer’s main field of research is in embryology and developmental biology. She has published widely and has presented her research at numerous international and local congresses. She is currently President of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomy (2015-2019).

Dr. Zahid Ali

MBBS, MPhil, Ph.D.

Dr. Zahid Ali serving as Faculty at College of Medicine, King Saud University Saudi Arabia since 2003. Earlier He was a faculty at Ziauddin Medical College, Karachi from where he also obtained his post graduate qualifications in Anatomy. He has more than 25 years of experience and a passion for teaching. He is committed to fostering a deeper understanding of anatomy among his students. Through engaging lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive discussions, he strives to instill not only knowledge but also a profound appreciation for the elegance of the human body. His Passion to uncover the secrets and gain a deeper appreciation for the incredible complexity of the human body is reflected by popularity of his summer courses among graduate& postgraduate students.

DR. CHEAH PIKE SEE, Ph.D.

Professor of Anatomy, Malaysia

Dr. Cheah is an Anatomist and Neuroscientist with her research focus to identify and to understand the function of causative genes for neurodevelopmental disorders and neuropsychiatric diseases. Her sabbatical training in Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School, USA has broadened her research experience in various fields including stroke, cancer biology, gene therapy, and extracellular vesicles. As an active member of Malaysian Society of Neurosciences (MSN), Asian Pacific Society for Neurochemistry (APSN) and recently as the Chair of the International Brain Research Organization-Asia Pacific Research Committee (IBRO-APRC), she helps to promote collaborative networks between clinical and non-clinical neuroscientists as well as to improve the quality of the neuroscience research in Malaysia and internationally. Dr. Cheah also wishes to materialise the dream of effective translation from bench to bedside and ultimately, to extend her role by reaching out to the society to disseminate knowledge on the relevance of her research for better management and treatment of neurological disorders.

Dr. Michael KH Ling

Developmental neurogeneticist and an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University Putra Malaysia

Dr. Michael KH Ling has an interest in the field of neurogenetics, genomics, and bioinformatics. He pursued his Ph.D. in Neurogenetics at Professor Hamish Scott’s laboratory, University of Adelaide, Australia. He won a Dean’s Commendation for An Outstanding Thesis Award and the CCB Award for his doctoral dissertation entitled, “Identification of transcripts involved in differentiation, proliferation and developmental networks of the mouse cerebral cortex”. He spent about 4-year as the IBRO/ISN Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Professor Bruce Yankner’s laboratory at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Dr. Ling is an active member of the Malaysian Society of Neurosciences and was the past Vice President and Honorary Treasurer of the society. He was also the Malaysian representative to the Governing Council of International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) (2012-2019) and Federation of Asia-Oceania Neuroscience Societies (FAONS). Currently he is the elected council member of Asia Pacific Neurochemistry Society (APSN) (2020-2024). He is a strong advocate of science outreach programmes in the country via the Young Scientists Network-Academy of Science Malaysia (YSN-ASM) (2012-2021), a prestigious network that he served as one of the protem committe members during its establishment.

Prof. Dr. Eltuhami Abdelmageed, Ph.D.

Prof. Dr. Eltuhami Abdelmageed is a Ph.D. in electron microscopic ultrastructure from the University of Liverpool, England. He is a Professor and higher education consultant at Unaiza Educational, Qassim, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (since 2022), formerly a professor of Anatomy and Histology at the College of Medicine, Qassim University (2001 - 2021) teaching cytology, histology and embryology to medical, dental, nursing and pharmacy students and students of applied medical sciences. During this period, Professor Abdelmageed held many positions (e.g. HOD of Anatomy and Histology, Director of the Research Center, Supervisor of the Premed phase), and acted as chair or member of many Qassim University boards and committees (e.g. Board of Deanship of Research, Board of Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, Strategic plan committee, WEFME and NCAAA Accreditation Committees). Prof. Abdelmageed has over 70 publications in reputable scientific journals and proceedings of scientific conferences. Fields of research included arterial chemo- and baroreceptors, hair bulge stem cells, ultrastructural studies on a wide array of tissues and tissue responses to medicinal plants. Technical expertise includes electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry, histomorphometry and autoradiography. Professor Abdulmajeed has four published books in the Arabic language and has also well-supervised and examined several postgraduate students (MS, PhD) in Saudia Arabia, Sudan and Iraq.
